Kingswood Foodbank

KMC supports the Kingswood Foodbank by providing by staff and donations of food and other products.

The Foodbank is situated in the Bourne Community Church (BCC) on the junction of Waters Rd with Two Mile Hill Rd (opposite Centurys night club).

It is open to clients every Monday (except Bank Holidays), from 11am to 1pm. donations can be accepted from 9:30am.

15 October update: We are completely out of drinking chocolate and very low on toilet rolls and fruit juice. Also needed are children toothpaste, packets of soup and tomatoes, washing up liquid and packets of instant custard.

Universal Credit is due to be rolled out at the Kingswood Job Centre in October. In many areas where this has already happened Foodbanks have seen a hike in demand. We have no way of telling whether the same will happen with us but we want to be prepared. So, whilst the shelves are not looking too bad at the moment, we need to keep it that way just in case.

If anyone has a shopping trolley they no longer need we would be happy to accept them to help clients without transport get what we give them home.

Please remember we are allowed to only give out items that are in date.

For more details contact Peter Shears who, as well as being a member of KMC, leads the Foodbank team. He can be contacted on (0117) 373 1849/
