Kingswood Foodbank

KMC supports the Kingswood Foodbank by providing by staff and donations of food and other products.

The Foodbank is situated in the Bourne Community Church (BCC) on the junction of Waters Rd with Two Mile Hill Rd (opposite Centurys night club).

It is open to clients every Monday (except Bank Holidays), from 11am to 1pm. donations can be accepted from 9:30am.

13 Jan update. Donations we would like are baby wipes, drinking chocolate, washing up liquid, tins of veg and tins of fish.

Over the 2 Mondays before Christmas we provided food etc for 207 people, including 86 children. Thank you very, very much everyone who contributed and helped make Christmas a better time for these people compared to what it might otherwise have been. There were a few clients reduced to tears at the realisation of how generous the people of Kingswood and surrounding areas are.

Also needed are plastic bags that the clients can take their products away in. And if anyone has a trolley they can donate that would be wonderful.
Now we are in November our thoughts have turned towards Christmas and next week I will publish our full Christmas list, What we would like to start receiving now, though, is advent calendars so we can give them out before 1 December.
During the whole of the calendar year 2018 we fed 804 adults and 601 children compared to 679 adults and 498 children in 2017. These are increases of 18% and 20% respectively.
