Kingswood Foodbank

KMC supports the Kingswood Foodbank by providing by staff and donations of food and other products.

The Foodbank is situated in the Bourne Community Church (BCC) on the junction of Waters Rd with Two Mile Hill Rd (opposite Centurys night club).

It is open to clients every Monday (except Bank Holidays), from 11am to 1pm. donations can be accepted from 9:30am.

23 Feb update. We are completely out of long-life milk, custard and tins of tomatoes and almost out of tins of baked beans, meat, fish, rice pudding & veg, jars of coffee, cereal, fruit juice, rice, crisps, sizes 2 & 5 nappies, pot noodles, washing up liquid, jam. soap powder and chocolate, We are very well stocked with soup, biscuits, pasta, potatoes and sauces so would prefer not to have donations of them.

During the month of January we averaged 15.5 clients per week which is up on last year.

Also needed are plastic bags that the clients can take their products away in. And if anyone has a trolley they can donate that would be wonderful.
Now we are in November our thoughts have turned towards Christmas and next week I will publish our full Christmas list, What we would like to start receiving now, though, is advent calendars so we can give them out before 1 December.
During the whole of the calendar year 2018 we fed 804 adults and 601 children compared to 679 adults and 498 children in 2017. These are increases of 18% and 20% respectively.
